"connecting peaks" looks easy on paper, but.... if you dont know what is
coming next, it's pretty hard. It's like stockmarket prices, everything
looks obvious when you look at a chart afterwards, but not when it is 
actually happening.

I expect that different source material, and different applications,
would require different envelope extraction strategies. Unsuprisingly!
