Well... Thanks to everyone for the what - I have to admit - sounds like good
advice. It's just that when you have several hundred sheets of 2oz. copper
clad laying around it's really painful having to pay someone else to do your
boards for you. In 1972, when my father started his own electronics company,
the job of doing the prototypes and small runs of boards fell to me, at age
12 - really! (Child Labor Laws? Humm...? Nope, never heard of 'em!) Yes,
I know this sounds insane, but I survived and went on to be a chemisty major,
having had all that early experiance with nasty chemicals :-) Anyway,
admittedly things have changed alot since then. That was back before PTHs,
so I never learned how to do them then. Instead, when we needed through
connections/vias we soldered in 18 gauge wire onto seperate pads.
Well, I guess it's time to admit that if I want really modern boards then I
should have a real modern board shop do them.
So, anyone know of a board shop that they can recommend in the Washington DC
area?
Thanks
Kevin
