DIY PCB plated thru holes?

On the subject of double sided DIY boards (though nothing
to do with PTH) something I have done about twice but hopefully
never again, is to use thin single sided PCB material with
P'n'P Blue, and then drill out the holes (yeah, twice as many!!)
then sandwitch the boards together. So registration is no
problem. And, if you are SERIOUSLY MAD, use wirewrap sockets
so you can stand everything up & get the soldering iron to both
sides of the chip legs.
Dont tell me not to do this again, because I already know not to.
