neon indicators

On an old sequencer I built I used 15v lamps for the indicators. I
seemed like a good idea because they were big and blue and cheap (radio
shack). They turned out to be a bad choice though bacause they click
when they turn on and off and they are too slow to actually show what is
happening. That being said i think they are really cool looking. i think
in switching applications lamps are too slow, but in a CV display they
should be just fine.

Check out the Buchla 265 for an application of 24v lamps in that
purpose.

Even Buchla switched to LEDs....
