audio jack size between 1/8" and 1/4"?

   I believe what you are looking for is a "TT" jack (which I believe
   stands for Tiny Telephone, might be wrong) Chek with
   http://www.conquestsound.com/ I think Mouser and Digi-Key also
   carry them.

Besides the 0.173-inch TT plugs there are also 0.206-inch diameter
phone plugs (which look remarkably similar to 0.25-inch phone plugs).
