Hehehe, I used a switch mode in my MonoWave,
ask Tony, Peter, Magnus and all the others who've heard it
how it sounds... :-)
I think as long as you're not useing VCOs it should be ok..
and as long as theres enough smoothing cap there it doesnt matter.

The PPG Wave also does this.. suprisingly with 2 SPST switchs,
a cap and TWO resistors, giving 3 variable time constants for smoothing,
hence the REALLY long Attack/decay/release times which are stepless.

Yep, remember MOST VFDs use about 0.5A so if youy got three
in there you're looking at 1.5A.. also remember CMOS isnt the lowest
power consumption in the world..
