audio jack size between 1/8" and 1/4"?

Howdy, everyone!
I'll pretend I'm not attempting to repair my pilot's headset microphone
plug and say I'm converting my Rogue's 1/4" output jack to be the size
between 1/4" and 1/8" just to keep this on theme for the list. I know this
size exists because when I went to plug my newly soldered 1/4" jack into the
panel in the Cessna, errr Moog, it was a shade too small, but absolutely not
1/8". I went to my local jackass Radio Shack representative and he had no
clue what I was talking about, and since his inventory bible, the Radio
Shack catalog, didn't list it he informed me it did not exist. It must exist
somewhere because every aircraft headset and radio manufacturer in the last
30 years at least has used this standar: 1/4" jack for headset, oddball size
jack for mic. Does anyone know where I can get the plug for what I can only
guess is a 3/16" jack? I am trying to not buy a new $150 headset when the
one I picked up at a garage sale minus plugs cost me 50 cents + easy labor.
Thanks a pantload!

Jon Darby
