CD-RW problems

Windows 95 is pnp (Plug and Play) operating system. When it fails to detect
a device it's some times the BIOS. If for some reason BIOS fails to detect
the device it may not appear in Win95 (by the, ditch this defective OS, even
Win98 is better, Win2K best). Two tricks might work. 1> remove the device,
reboot the machine, install the device. This should reset the pnp registers
and the OS will re-install the device. 2> Reset the pnp BIOS. Some newer
systems include this as a command in the BIOS, others simply require you
re-write the BIOS variables (change some value and save the BIOS).

Good Luck
