Hahaha!!! I'm glad I read that message. It gave me the chance to do something
with the RS-09 which has been collecting dust for the past month or so. I
tore it apart, and got to the circuit board with the buttons, and i removed
the board, and i noticed that the connectors were loose. I removed the main
board assembly, took it apart, and sure enough. the solder joints were all
broken on one of the connectors. the volume pot had broken solder joints,
too. I resoldered everything, sprayed a little de-oxit in the buttons and
volume pot, put it back together, and it works like brand new. I was so
happy. haha. it was great. I hope that the person with the MC-202 has just as
much luck as i had with fixing that stupid white wire stuff. It just made me
think because the MC-202 and RS-09 are from the same era, somewhat, and i
thought i'd take a look at it one more time. I since have bought another
RS-09 to replace the "broken" one. now i have two. I have the older model
with rocker switches, and the newer one with the 808 style touch buttons.
damn..

well everything is fine now,
just waiting for my elka rhapsody to get here

thanks again
jason

<< Yes. Replace it with whatever you have got.. I would say that if you can
get the NEW multiwire that uses some sort of tough plastic and solid
conductors, get that.. They have it if you look around.. As for myself, I
just used thick gauge ribbon cable. With ribbon cable, though, you have to
skip every other conductor because of spacing issues, but it definetely
 works.

You can use normal wire, but its a bit cumbersome in tight spots in the
case and doesnt have the clearance needed.
