BJ and Paul,

Found a summary of the Simmons products:
http://machines.hyperreal.org/manufacturers/Simmons/info/simmons.drums

If I remember correctly, the Miami Vice Theme predated the SDS7-- it
probably used an SDS5. This set was also used by TDolby and Howard Jones, I
believe.

The SDS7 set was used by the drummer for Mr. Mister-- featured solo in "Is
it Love". Biggest difference was that the SDS5 was all analog, the SDS7
layered a sample player with an analog section.

Many and most scheamtics about various synthesiser brands
are easy to find and are discussed on the net exept one!

The Simons stuff!
What happend :

1:To the company,(after runing down their noses).
2:To the brilliant designer of simons stuff (not the founder)
3:Why the hell are those schematics so difficult to find!
4 and millions of other questions!

After all Simons ruled the drum sound eraly/mid 80 for many
years and now it seams to be totally fogotten!
(sounds and company)
