    The Paia 9700 looks like a good choice.  I cannot comment on the Analog
Solutions RS system as I know nothing about it.

    I have been building Paia kits for over 20 years.  Some of them are
easier to build than others.  If you are a rank beginner, you might want to
pick a simpler kit, like the Paia Fatman.  Others may be able to comment more
on how easy or hard the kits are, it is relative to your experience.  I would
rank the 9700 modules maybe a notch above easy.  Each module is fairly small.
