I am sort of intrigued by these now and I am wondering if anyone
has any real live stories about using them, playing with one, or
any idea what they are good for?
I've never used one, but...
Guitarist John McLaughlin uses a Bode Frequency Shifter as a mutant
whammy bar on "Miles Out" on the album "Inner Worlds". You can hear a
cool sample of it on Amazon's web site.
I would use one for phase shift effects. And to detune the harmonics
of an oscillator to approximate the non-integral harmonics of a
physical string.
