   Cost.  Last I checked, the TL05x chips were about 3 _times_ the cost 
of 7's or 8's.  I have a few of them and really couldn't justify the cost 
for the minor (and I do mean minor) improvement in specs.
   This is from Newark:

   TL052CP  $1.77 each
   TL082CP  $0.69 each

   And even scarier (since these are what I buy):

   TL052ACP $5.04 each
   TL082ACP $0.89 each

   My advice, go for the A-class versions in the 7x's or 8x's.  MUCH more 
worthwhile cost-wise.
