TL071/TL081

The 061 is designed dfor minimum power consumption.
Therefore slow.
The 081 has decent bandwidth, but some power saved due to
not so good noise spec.
The TL071 has lower noise, running at higher current,
more power consumption, same bandwidth as 081.
I guess the input stage is different, bias current, geometry.
The 051 has low noise and higher bandwidth. People seem
not to use it. Why?
All from my head, could be wrong.
I do not believe that this is your problem.
I bet that the diagnose was wrong. Do you
still have the "bad" 081? Try if it works in a simple circuit.
E.g. unity gain buffer.
It seems that something external keeps the op amp from working.
Then you can plug in what ever you want, you'll never succeed.

:::One of my MiniMoog Oscillator boards was diagnosed as having a bad

:::Nada.

:::Or is it just a problem with them in that circuit?
