SDS7

I have a non-functioning SDS7, that I got for free a couple of years ago. I
remember wanting to repair it, but somehow other projects took over and I
sort of forgot about it, until you mentioned it.

It's solidly built, weigheing a great deal more than your average drum
module. A negative factor is that all the plug-in modules was rather loosely
attached to the 'backplane' (bad connectors!).

I guess that I should replace most of the capacitors, get the power supply
up and running and then each module in turn. The bad news is that I havn't
got the faintest idea how I should operate it (I aquired some less-than-mint
condition service-manual copies from Mark Glinsky's Manual Manor but no user
manual :-( ).

I remember being told that the 'Miami Vice theme' used SDS7 drums for that
special 80'ies elektro-drum sound.
