Embedded Processors-More thoughts

This thread on embedded processors has be kinda interesting. While
I am in the process of starting to use the AVR, traditionally, I have
used the 6502 for most of my projects in the past.
One thing the thread has made me reconsider, however, is what to do
with all those old 6502 projects. I was just going to toss them and
start over from scratch with the AVR. One of the reasons, is that all
the old firmware that I wrote is sorta locked up on the disks that only
my Atari 800 can read. But, even if I can't ever get the disk drives
working again, I think I am going to go ahead and keep them anyway. I
did enjoy programming the 6502. Also, the 6503 that was used in the old
Paia 8700 would be tough to get rid of. I want to keep the micro
processor the same, just for kicks.
Also, I have an old Arium Logic analyzer with a 6502 disasembly
pod. Real handy for debugging code.
