Embedded processors for DIY projects ?

They are hard to find at $49.00. I got one but I don't
know of any more. Radioshack.com had a few they 
were selling  for $99.00. I sent a friend there to get
one but evidently they are hard to find even at that 
price. You could probably order one? That's what he
did.

BTW rs.com is stocking a few AVRs and PICs 
these days.
