SEM PSU

Hi all!, Yet more PSU related questions. The 2N3638
transistor in the Oberheim SEM, does anyone have a
good idea an equivalent? Also the schemo shows a
regulator section, but, excuse my ignorance, where
does the transformer tag onto?
