Envelope gen operation

Im using AR generators, but might have some input...
I have two modes of operation, latched and non-latched.
In latched mode, a gate will cause a full ASR cycle, as long as the gate is
longer than the attack time..
The trigger (same input but pulsed...) gives AR
In non latched mode, the Attack continues only as long as gate is high, or until
the peak level is reached. If the gate goes low during the attack, the decay
starts right away.
for an ADSR gen, I'd put the AD in latched mode controlled by trigger. I'd
generate the trigger from the gate, then OR it with the external trigger, so
that the attack and decay would repeat from the sustain level...
