house-trash 101.......way way way...OT.....
Think 8/12bit samples...find an old Yamaha TX612 ( is that right?) Whatever
it is that runs the Typhoon OS and make sure you get Typhoon with it on
the original disk. No Typhoon DO NOT! buy it. The original OS is total
crap. I used to have one of these....I'm so glad to be rid of it. I miss
Typhoon now and then....but nah! Amiga computers are especially keen
for this kind of thing. Be sure to get one with some memory and a HD.
Most bands/sound manipulators have a limited budget to begin with so they
use crap equipment and make-do with whatever. This more often than not
this creates an immediate... rough sound. As they make more money their
equipment and production gets better and it looses that hard edge that
everyone liked to start with....anyway think crap. The worst stuff you can
find. Especially bad/noise effect pedals.. and then add distortion of some
kind to almost everything. Be sure to throw in some ultra clean and quite
sections so the hard stuff seems even harder when it hits again...;-)
