All,
I've been spoiled over the past while with my Audio Precision
System-2, and now the time has come for me to get a home audio analysis
test set. I know I could get general purpose equipment to analyze
parameters like THD, IMD, etc., but I'd like something specifically
designed for audio. Obviously, like most of us I don't have the ca$h to
stock my home lab with a $40,000+ Audio Precision, and I was wondering
what other people have used in the past. I've seen brands like Tektronix
and HP in the "vintage" category, and even audio-specific companies like
Potomac develop combo signal generator/analyzers to do these kind of
measurements. Anyone care to give their opinion on what could be used to
test audio parameters like THD, IMD, CMRR, frequency response, etc? Any
and all help is appreciated. :-)
