F.A. Böhm KG is (was) the name of a German DIY organ and synth kit
manufacturer.
The company is still active as: Böhm electronic GmbH.
Their focus is on the "allein underhalter" & home organ market.
www.boehm-electronic.com
The company had its 5 minutes of fame with the Böhm 12/24 expander.
A 12 or 24 voice four operator PhM (FM) synth module, came around short
after the DX7.
It may very well be the first multi-timbal module uberhaubt.
Both Yamaha and Böhm denied that the 12/24 was a FM synth and Yahama didn't
use Böhm drum technology either.
Hope this helps,
Theo
