Cleaning 1/4" jacks

Hi Everyone -

Here's a simple question...  :-)

What methods do you guys use to clean 1/4" jacks?  They're not really
too crusty or anything, but I want to do some preventitive on them.

I'm going the "insert the plug 50 times" route, but what else should I
do?  Should I use some type of cleaner?  Is there a brush or tool I
should use, or is that a bad idea?
