Yes o'cause, a onboard oscilator is a mere ad on, lots of ring mods don't
have it.
Basically use any rimgmod disign you like for this.
I like the Ring mod that is part of the Formant,
partly because I never used an other one.
It has a ENV follower that tracks one of the inputs as a nice exstra,
handy as a VCF control source (not very original to do, I know).
There may be better candidates around.....
