Hi All !

Maybe Theo meant the "UNISYNTH electronic guitar" . That's what its
says on the headstock . On the body it says "XG1m electronic digital
midi controller" . On the back, serial no plate

designed by suzuki corporation u.s.a.
produced by comnics corporation japan
made in japan

Legending of the four knobs and touch switch panel is the other way
up from the names, readable when the instrument is hung around one's
neck . Has 12 "fret" and 6 "string" rubber fretboard, touch switches
built in, delaminates from the neck, can be pushed back on tho . Six
11cm long strings to trigger the midi notes . On the "bridge" is a
switch that, iirc, mutes sounding notes . Below, the "whammy bar".
The four knobs, below the bridge, control (l-r) volume, sensitivity,
tremolo range, and sustain . The touch switches (numerals 0-9 plus
enter) send program changes . Twin seven segment led readouts give
the no . Colour all over is black, with a red pick guard . Takes 6
c-size batteries or a 9-12V wart . I let out the smoke from both a
300mA and a 1A adaptor, so beware !!!! After this i decided to store
the "thing" .

Just pulled it out of storage, i did not check the battery
compartment thoroughly enough, it seems, as gunk has spread around .
Possibly from earlier leaking batteries . No, i did NOT leave
batteries in there ;-) Now i know what to do for the rest of this
sunny sunday afternoon .

Just done a search on Google, and came up with this link :

http://people.delphi.com/johnpollock/mgtr.htm

Good link, not much info on the unisynth, i'm afraid :) And no, i
have no access to a digital camera .

Hope this helps .

Cheers .

Keep 'em oscillating :)
