Possibly goofy idea...

I posted the Synapse article at this URL:

http://www.spiritone.com/~8brain/tkbds

I thought I sent a mail about it to the list this morning but never saw it posted. Strange. Anyways, Kevin Lightner originally posted it on
Synthfool,
though I haven't been able to find it there.

Avoid the Terence Thomas circuit!!! My friend Ian spent many many many hours on this circuit trying to get it to work, even contacting Mr. Thomas for
 help.
 It is far from reliable.

A couple more similar Buchla/Serge touch keyboard projects
were published.

One was in Synapse - I think it was written by Arpad Benares,
who was allegedly really Serge Tcherepnin. It's out there on a
website somewhere, but I can't remember the URL.

There was also one in the Terrence Thomas DIY synth book
from a few years age - again I can't remember the name.
Both were touch keyboard/programmer type things. If you
need them, reply to me as I might have them on my hard disk.

It probably wouldn't take much more to make it work as a
sequencer too - the pots and panel are the hard work part
of a sequencer.

I think Tomita did something similar to what you're trying to
achieve. I don't know if he was manually controlling the VCF
frequency, or clocking a sequencer or S&H from the keyboard
trigger, but it gave a voice-like effect.
