Hi all,
BJ>At the big mess Cliff showed some new stacked female 1/4 and 3,5 mm
PCB and wire mounted connectors.
Yes, they do look great but I have had nothing but trouble with Cliff
plastic jacks. They were standard fitting on Soundcraft Delta desks, and
my first set of synths I made. OK for audio, perhaps. But CV is a
problem, where the smallest amount of resistance will cause tracking
drift. So I'm afraid I can't recommend them. They seem partcularly prone
to damp.
For my latest series of modules I recommend Switchcraft 112, pricey but
bloody good. And these are standard on the better Soundcraft desks. A
Moog 901 VCO I saw a while ago, appeared to have them as well.
