Funny enough (I could hardly believe it myself) the internal frequency
counter of my unexpensive Gold Star multimeter is good for tuning
VCOs thruout the whole audio range, with an error of only a few Hz.
The fine tuning can then easily be done by ear, using an Organ with
divide down technology and adjusting the VCO for zero beating.
Works perfectly for me.
