I've made a tool to fold 20 inch wide metal sheet (alu1.5 mm, steel 1.0 mm
max.) from some wood, 1m cv pipe, hinges and some small stuf.
Works fine if you don't do series.
Costs about $20, commercial tools for 10 inch wide cost about $200.

You can cut alu scheets in about the same way as glass.
Scratch deep with a stainly knive, than fold 2 or 3 times to and fro.
Smooth the edges with some waterproof paper and your set.

Maybe this is usefull for some one.
If annyone is intrested in a drawing of the sheet folder let me know,
I can post a drawing of it but have to make that first.
