If you really want to junk it and it works, I'm quite sure you
could sell it, even if it doesn't seem to fit together.  I have two,
but they are the rack panel type and I really like them.  The 
band I play with loves the sounds I get out of it.

Anybody here got one together in the desktop case that can help?

Email to John S. may not be answered right away, he does get busy, but 
phone calls should work.  I'm sure they can help, one way or the other.  
IMHO, helping their customers is a PAiA hallmark.  That's been my 
personal experience.
