3140 + static

You need to be very careful with 3140's. Get yourself a wrist stat at the
very least. An Anti Static work mat for your bench is also a good idea.
Everything needs to be connected together and connected to ground. Oh yes, and
make sure your soldering iron has a grounded tip as well.
The 3140 is not as bad as some of the stuff I work with. It takes about 100
volts of static to blast the gates on the mosfets in the 3140. The stuff I work
with takes only 3 volts of static. Everything in the area must be conductive.
It's a real pain in the wahzoo.
