On the subject of rackmount

Just put some L-shaped alu. profile on the sides.
Two cuts with the saw and 8 holes to drill, not too hard. 
If there are no usable mounting holes in the enclosure,
just make them.
Worked on a mixer, two casette decks, CD player, ....
