Yeah, that's part of what I was getting at - don't like those parts at
all but there must be some cool quads out there.

I'm definately still in the don't understand it mode on this guy but
someday plan to pay my dues on it (have some app notes on it
somewhere). But right now, I'm way in "design it now" mode so I plan to
stick with regular op-amps for the time being as a basis for most
circuits. Some of those LM3900 circuits in Electronotes are definately
dempting!

A very handy bit of info indeed. Just say no to the OP-77!

This will be one of the first on the list when those books get cracked.
I'll assume it does not exibit the dreaded phase reversal (since I get
the sneaky suspician you really don't like that).

So, with just your reply to my post so far, is it too soon to guess the
LM324 pinout is somewhat standard... or at least used in various other
parts?

LOL, oh yes, the books will still cover the floor, but it's nice to have
a couple of hot leads to start with. So far I've been super happy with
the LF412, OP07, and 5532 - most will be compared against those parts at
least in the areas I'm concerned with for the given application. Sneaky
things like phase reversal problems/latch ups/etc. will have to be
tested for or exposed by the enlightened (that would be you and others
on the list).

Your opinions are very much appreciated. Thanks much!
