Harry, I know it was a joke, but anyway, just to clarify things:
Approx. 95% of my own stuff is V/Oct.
Everything I do for MOTM is V/Oct.
I prefer V/Hz for *polyphonic* synths, especially when an autotune
function is to be avoided. (I can't think of any commercial V/Oct
polysynth that had neither autotune nor individual tune knobs for each
VCO. There were a couple of V/Hz polysynths that managed to do this,
at least.)
V/Hz has some benefits for monophonic synths as well (linear
detuning), but you can perfectly emulate this effect on V/Oct
with the capacitive divider I proposed some years ago.
V/Hz and V/Oct is not an "exclusive or". There are good arguments
to make both options available in modular VCOs. (Most expo converters
provide an internal A/Hz summing node for free.)
