I'm back!

Greetings, everyone,

I am finally back to work and a (sort of) regular routine
again. When I left I was a happily married person with a
reasonably normal life and family, but now I seem to have
somehow evolved into a person separating from a mentally
ill ex-wife who refuses treatment. Isn't life wonderful?

Back on topic now....

Rene, I am extremely impressed with your tube VCA work,
this is excellant. I'm also very happy to hear that Eric is
working on a volt/octave tube VCO. When I originally
submitted the "tube challenge" to this list, I had hoped to
stimulate this type of response and I certainly have not
been disappointed!

I also must say that it's good to see work by Tom and
others towards all discrete transistor design; this is also
something that I've wanted to do for a long time, and I
think of it as a parallel to the "tube challenge" (bipolar
challenge?).

For my own part, I am working on setting up a website with
lots of DIY content, I will let the list know when it is up
and running. I am also attempting to design an all-tube
ADSR, which I will hopefully be spending some time on in
the near future.

BTW, after much mental cogitation, I have tentatively
decided to name my tube synth "Valve Job". Thanks to J.
Barlow for the excellant idea! Of course this means that if
I ever build a second tube synth, I can call it "New Valve
Job". ;-)

Keep up the electronic synthetic auditory phenomenom
generation!
