Not all that astounding really, when you consider how rare 
infinite gain is in the world of physical systems, which 
analog synthesis is trying to model.
indeed, there is a whole world of weird electronic musical 
devices that have nothing to do with the op-amp world.. perhaps 
it would be refreshing to consider them for a while, rather than 
spend all our time at the hi-tech end.
