power supply for it, The unit will turn on a perform all functions except
the drum pads do not trigger any sounds. So I squeezed in the contemporary
cartridge and still nothing, no sound. I am ssuming my power supply is
working(otherwise unit would not turn on) So then I thought is was my
outputs, but the Metronome function works great and I hear a steady click.
So I opened the unit up everything is there, no missing chips no cut bridges
and no fried parts. Has anybody ever had a similar problem? Any ideas? >>

Have you tried playing the sounds from MIDI? Maybe the machine has a MIDI
"Local On/Off" function that needs to be toggled. You could also try sending
it some MIDI Volume control messages (controller #7 at a value of 127) -
maybe someone previously the set volume to zero.
