On the subject of my alpha juno2, I managed to sort it all out tonight,
and I only had to open it up once!

It turns out that a track had completely corroded through near a solder
join, the corrosion was actually underneath the protective green lacquer
and fromthe connecting block between boards. (If you have a juno 2 handy,
you cansee this by peering between the F3 and F#3 keys). I have had to
clean up andsolder a strip of wire here. The copper track had totally
corroded to a redpowder and bubbled up the lacquer in a thin line.

I find this quite worrying and hope it is an isolated occurrence - do
junos havea history of circuit corrosion? However there are many spots of
rust on thekeyboard assemble so I assume it once was not kept in the best
of conditions.

Oh yes I remembered to put the aftertouch ribbon back in!

LOL

Keith
