Pawn shops (sad truth)

This has been beaten to death on Analogue Heaven about how difficult it
actually is to recover things that have been stolen from you from a pawn
shop.. Like they say, possession is nine-tenths of the law.

Many pawnshops are not as helpful as you would think.

Needless to say, I have a huge policy on everything I own since some of it
is prototypes of synths and other electronics that are actually worth quite
a bit more to me than just some stuff that some normal person would have in
their house.
