Uninformed Pawn Shop owners (was: A word of warning!)

Best deals ive encounted was a dbx 266 compressor for $200Aus ($110US),
it was labelled as a "volume control". I also bought an Acetone monosynth
for
$175Aus (about $90US), and to this day I can find no info on the unit. Its a
very
cool monosynth with a building destroying filter resonance (its screams
instead
of whistles), and an amazing PWM, very fat. Since in been in the studio
though,
some mug has lost a slider cap :(

When I was 15, I came across a Korg MS02 cv/converter box, and watched it
sit the same store for over 2 years, gradually being reduced in price from
$300
to $60Aus. I am kicking myself for not buying it, now that I actually know
what
it does!

Ironically, all this stuff has been found in the same store.
