VCF 6

Hi all

I've just got round to doing Tom G's diode ladder VCF 6.As I'm pretty new to this I hope you can help me out.The only way I can get the filter to sweep is to connect  -12v to the cutoff pot instead ground as shown on the scematic???Although it sweeps only half of the cutoff pot is active eg 0-5 silence 5-10 filter sweep.
If anyone has built this have I made an obvious mistake.
