A word of warning!

So you've been using your alpha-juno 2 as a master to play your newly
expanded s2800 with 32mb shoe horned in.
Its the only keyboard you have with aftertouch, but that key which isn't
playing has been bugging you. You have a spare hour so set to work
on all those screws and make your way down to the keyboard assembly
to merrily clean the offending contacts whilst watching a program about
streaking.

...all should be well

Here is the bit of advice.....

When you have finally secured all the screws and connected it up
don't panic when no sounds come out of the beast, and you cant change
program.
Don't take the whole thing apart again and start checking all the
connectorsand making sure they are in the right sockets.

Don't spend an hour doing this...the solution?
Check that midi local is 'ON'

nuff said?

oh and the key still doesn't sound

..and I have just remembered to reconnect the aftertouch ribbon...

*sigh*
