simple LFO question

Here's the exponential VC clock circuit I used in a flanger built around 
1981. Works well for wide range sweeps and sine wave modulation. It uses 
the (very small) pin 6 capacitance of the TLC555 for the timing 
capacitor. The bipolar 555 does not work as well as the TLC555 or LMC555 
timers. The bi-phase output of the CD4013 is 0 .. +5 volts. Mike
