Id need 8 of eaach still, so it would be more expensive..
Also it would take up more baord space (the 8 by 8 switchs are 40pin, 335 is
24pin)

Agreed, like a cube, but you still couldnt set more than one switch at any
layer
incase you had another switch set on that layer.
I see what you're saying but there is nor realy advantage, unless I missed
soemthing, in
useing 8 8by8 chips to using 8 8by1 chips.
