Go and check out companies like Harris, Mitel and SGS Thomson. They both cary
crossbar analog switches. The largest one I have seen is 16x8 and is
available in a 40 pin DIP or 44 pin PLCC. The Ron value is typically
around 40 Ohm. I would not count on the resistance to have a specific
value since it really relate to temperature, applied power voltage and
voltage level of input.

The frequency responce is touching 50 MHz and the crosstalk at 5 kHz
is 110 dB. The THD is 0.01 % for a 2 Vpp 1kHz sine signal.

The Harris number is CD22M3494 but I now from prior investigations
that it is not hard to find from the others.

The CD22M3494 is not hard to operate, you have a 7 bit address
register and a 1 bit data input in order to individually operate the
memory which holds the state of each analog switch. So, operation
should be child-play level ;)

Cheers,
Magnus
