A couple people downloaded my P51 mustang binaural file (over 3 meg) and
converted it to mp3 in various resolutions. I uploaded a 128 bit file to
my site. It is very encouraging that there really doesn't appear to be
any degradation of the binaural effect on the result! The mp3 file is
about 265K and can be downloaded by entering the following right in the
URL window of your browser:
xavax.com/bklein/m2to5.mp3
(no "www" or whatever)
Wear headphones to hear the localization.
It still takes about 3 minutes to download on my work's system (about 900
bps from xavax I guess).
I hope to do more work with my binaural stuff and get it up on the site so
you can Klik'n'play....
Then I want to hear some P51 music..... A 3D P51 chord should be
awesome(!) Also, you guys with samplers or soundforge etc., tell me if
the localization is consistant even if the playback rate is varied higher
or lower(pitch changed). I haven't tried that yet.
