I just read the old ad. The good thing about the ARP ladder phaser (asuming
that
it's based on this) is that you can expand it so easily. One more notch ( =
two
more stages) just means one more CA3086 and four more capacitors.
Once you have built all the overhead (compander, reso limiter, differential
driver and differential pickup amp), expanding the all pass filter is so
easy.
Maybe some time I'll build a longer version, too. (I hate to rip my 14-stage
box apart, so I'd rather start from scratch and make it longer, and of
variable
length.)
