re casio fun

Hi.
I've hot-rodded several crappy little keyboards to create extreme noise.
The easiest way to do it is to run the thing on batteries, open it up,
trigger some sound and start randomly crossing points on the circuit. The
result is often a big pop or silence but occasionally you hit a good spot
and the delicate little chips can take on a life of their own! By adding
switches and pots you can get alot of real-time control over the sounds.
Of course this is a very hack way of doing things but when your dealing a
Casio, I think thats fitting :)

I wouldn't recommend this technique on any equipment that you consider to be
slightly valuable but it's a great way to turn a toy into a beast.
I will put up some photos and samples of a few of the Casio-monsters I've
created so you can see what can be done (I'll send the URL when it's done).
Also check this excellent Circuit Bending article by Reed Ghazala. Thats
where I got the idea for this.
