Looking at the XR2212 PLL one recognize
this can be quite useful device, one interesting
issue is that the VCO, OP amp and the PH detector
is all separate modules inside, so they can
be configured for various wave shaping, etc stuff.

The other interesting issue is the VCO
who is easily current controlled by a
NPN expo converter.

One slightlyboring thing is that no linearity
parameter are mentioned, but locking at the
XR2209 VCO and the shemo looks similar wery
loose figure would be around 1%!!!

The VCO is a really freaky part, it has a current
output a Quadrature output for your future freq
shifter etc.

Nevertheless its a interesting device.

Anyone who have experimented with it?
