Yello DIYoids, Can anyone explain how the 4049 and 4069 CMOS hex inverters differ? Does it have something to do with output current drive? I was planning on trying to use the 4069 in linear mode to make a CMOS distortion. I usually see the 4049 used for this purpose. Will the 4069 work, as well? Michael Bacich
